The SCD-V426DN is a vandal- and weather-resistant high performance dome camera (without LEDs). It is fitted with the hugely successful Samsung W-5 DSP chipset that is specifically designed for round-the-clock video surveillance.

The W-5 DSP chipset provides surveillance cameras with greater stability and powerful image processing. It delivers colour images at 600TVL resolution. A sens-up capability of 512x allows the cameras to capture colour images at extremely low light levels.

The W-5 DSP also features a superior dynamic range (SSDR), an enhanced backlight function in comparison with standard backlight compensation, as it automatically balances dark areas across the entire scene, whereby objects hidden in the shadow become visible.

Another key feature of the W-5 DSP chipset is its super noise reduction technology (SSNRIII). The advanced technology uses « pattern matching » to remove image noise in low light conditions, which helps saving up to 70% hard disk space on a digital video recorder, whilst maximising bandwidth when viewing over a network.

Other W-5 DSP chipset standard features include motion detection, privacy masking, digital image stabilisation (DIS) and high light compensation (HLC). The features incorporated into the W-5 DSP chipset are programmable via multilingual on-screen menus.

The SCD-426DN 3-axis weather- and vandal-resistant dome camera comes with a Sony Super HAD CCD and an auto-iris DC lens either 2.8-11mm or 9-22mm. Power is 12VDC. A wall-mount bracket is available as an option.
