ACTi protects railways station in Erfurt, Germany | 14/06/2010
Trains in the Erfurt station, Germany, were often damaged by graffiti spraying during night time. The surveillance of the train station was only possible by staff members patrolling the area, but it was not possible to get an overview of the whole situation.
The solution was the installation of cameras for a permanent video surveillance of the area.
There were several strong requirements for the cameras :
• No cable laying possible
• Power supply only via lamp poles
• Strong night performance
• Video server installation in the data center of the train station
• Remote access on the video recordings & live stream from central control center
ACTi ACM-7411 Megapixel IP Fixed Dome Camera was the choice for the system integrator. That particular dome camera offers detailed 1.3 megapixel picture a strong night performance and, IP66 weatherproof and vandalism-proof housing with heating for the rough environment. With its easy integration of the wireless network by Linksys Wireless Switches and Lancom point-to-point radio systems, the ACM-7411 also ensures a seamless remote access, management and video recording of the surveillance of the train station area. The remote mabnagement software solution was chosen from a third party that supports the whole ACTi camera product line.
